These studies suggested that participants automatically allocate their attention to the spatial location of fear-related stimuli. Some of these studies suggested that there is a visual field difference in the effect of threatening stimuli （Fox, 2002）. However, there were few studies that compared within field and between-field effect of attentional capture since most of them employed only two locations （one for each visual field）, thus confounding the validity （which is determined by the relationship between threatening stimulus and probe） and the visual field of probe.
