 note = {In this study, 2005 Population Census of Japan was analyzed and characteristics of households and dwelling conditions of Sendai city and Miyagi prefecture were clarified. Also plans and dwelling space of condominiums build and sold by major housing companies in Sendai were analyzed based on the information provided for sale on the net. It is found that average members per households are 2.31 in Sendai that means households with one or two members have increased. From the analysis of newly build condominiums, new type of plans with large space with only one or two rooms were
